Family Profile

Current State:
  • Manually enter your family profile to help TLDR Parents find the details that matter to your family
  • Add family members, children's names and ages, schools, and activities

  • Automated Family Profile Generation - Smart detection from your connected Calendars and Gmail activity:
    • Family member and guest detection

Gmail Modify Scopes - Enhanced Email Management

Current State:
  • Readonly Gmail access - we can read labeled emails but cannot modify your inbox
  • All email management (labeling, archiving, marking as read) is done by YOU via Gmail filters

Coming Next:

  • Smart Email Management (Optional) - With your permission, TLDR Parents can help manage processed emails:
    • Apply labels to processed emails for easy tracking
    • Mark broadcast emails as "read" (only high-confidence newsletters that never need replies)
    • Archive processed emails to reduce inbox clutter
  • Safety First - We'll NEVER mark emails as read if they contain correspondence indicators (questions, RSVP requests, direct replies needed)
  • User Control - This will be opt-in with granular controls over which actions TLDR Parents can take

Daily Briefing with Activity Updates

  • TLDR Parents prepares personalized event lists in the app based on your family profile
  • Streamlined event cards show essentials quickly, with expand option for more details
  • No regular digest or briefing emails yet
